The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has issued flood warnings as heavy rainfall continues to impact the region, with significant rainfall recorded across various districts in Punjab over the past 24 hours.
The rains have resulted in an increase in the water level in rivers, dams and streams.
According to PDMA, districts such as Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Bahawalnagar, Kasur, and Sheikhupura have experienced varying levels of rainfall, with Rawalpindi recording 88mm, Gujranwala and Bahawalnagar 17mm each, and Kasur and Sheikhupura also receiving 11mm each of rain.
This increase in precipitation is contributing to rising water levels in rivers, dams, and streams.
