In response to escalating violence in Bangladesh, the Pakistani High Commission has ramped up efforts to protect Pakistani citizens amid the unrest. The mission is particularly focused on safeguarding Pakistani students in the region.
The High Commission’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) detailed ongoing measures to address the situation.
High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maruf has emphasised the importance of student safety, advising them to remain indoors and avoid areas of conflict.
The High Commission is maintaining regular contact with students and working closely with local authorities to provide necessary assistance.
According to Maruf, about one-third of the Pakistani student population in Bangladesh has already returned home.
The High Commission is actively facilitating the departure of remaining students and has established a communication network to monitor their safety.
