Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday paid tribute to the martyrs of the police force, vowing to continue the fight against terrorism until the last terrorist is eliminated.
Speaking at a ceremony in Peshawar honouring the police martyrs, Gandapur emphasized the government's commitment to supporting the police, regardless of financial constraints.
Addressing the attendees, which included the families of martyrs, police veterans, and officers, Gandapur saluted their sacrifices and reaffirmed the provincial government's dedication to maintaining peace and security.
"We are facing both internal and external conspiracies," he stated. "Whether we have money or not, our priority will be to provide resources to the police. Those who have given their lives in the line of duty deserve our utmost respect."
Gandapur criticized the terrorist attacks as acts of ignorance, not jihad, and urged the militants to reform themselves. He stressed that a peaceful and prosperous environment is essential for the province's success.
The CM announced several initiatives to support the families of fallen police officers, including the allocation of plots in provincial housing societies and 20 percent of traffic fines.
In a heartfelt message, Gandapur urged citizens not to clash with the police over minor issues, expressing pride in the forces defending the country's borders. "We stand with the martyrs and are proud of the forces who protect our homeland," he concluded.
