Pakistan Army airlifted and transported Hasan Shigri — who tragically passed away during last year’s K2 expedition —body to Skardu through a special operation.
Pakistani climbers successfully transported his body from K2's Bottleneck to the base camp, from which the Pakistani Army, encouraged by humanitarian concerns, airlifted it to Skardu by helicopter.
Shigri’s body was respectfully and swiftly returned to his home.
Pakistan Army's helicopter conducted a rescue operation for four Italian climbers, airlifting them from the K2 base camp to Skardu.
Another helicopter mission successfully rescued two British climbers stranded on Nanga Parbat, transporting them to a safe location.
