The Nankana Sahib district police officer (DPO) has ordered the arrest of three constables on charges of misuse of power.
The suspects, identified as Muhammad Asif, Waqas, and Allah Wasaya, are alleged to have delivered mobile phones to dangerous prisoners while on judicial duty.
The DPO's action follows an internal investigation that uncovered the constables' involvement in smuggling mobile phones to inmates, a serious breach of security and protocol.
This act of delivering prohibited items to prisoners poses significant risks, potentially facilitating criminal activities from within the prison.
