Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui has stated that while the government remains open to negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), it will not extend any new offers to the opposition party at this time.
In a recent statement, Siddiqui declared, “The era of making offers and flattering PTI is over. We have moved past that phase, and now the time for their submission has begun.”
He emphasised that while the door for dialogue remains open, the government will await PTI's initiative for talks rather than making any further overtures.
Mr Siddiqui's remarks also included a critique of PTI's expectations for early elections, dismissing them as unrealistic.
“There is no restriction on dreaming about elections in December, but in reality, nothing will change. The government is set to complete its five-year term,” he asserted.
The PML-N leader also directed a pointed comment towards PTI, suggesting that the opposition should address their grievances to “the doors of thieves and dacoits” rather than seeking concessions from the current administration.
