A labourer has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court against an inflated electricity bill issued by the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO). The petitioner received a bill of Rs143,000 for consuming only 126 units of electricity.
The petition names the CEO of LESCO and the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) as parties to the case. The petitioner claims that despite approaching the relevant LESCO office, the bill was not corrected.

In the petition, it is argued that many individuals in the area engage in electricity theft, but the burden is placed on regular consumers. The petitioner has requested the court to order LESCO officials to rectify the electricity bill.
