Balochistan is set to experience a significant shift in weather conditions as a monsoon rainfall system has entered the province.
The Met Department forecasts rain with thunder in most districts over the next 24 hours, potentially easing the intense heat currently affecting the region.
According to meteorological reports, strong winds and rain are expected to impact areas, including Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, Doab, Barkhan, Musakhel Shirani, Kohlu, Harnai, Loralai, Nasirabad, Jhal Magsi, Jaffarabad, and Kalat in the next 24 hours. The rain is anticipated to bring some relief from the scorching temperatures that have gripped the province.
The current weather data shows Quetta at a maximum temperature of 38°C, while Kalat is experiencing 34°C. In contrast, other areas are still sweltering under extreme heat: Sibbi recorded 47°C, Nokundi 45°C, Turbat 46°C, Jiwani 35°C, and Gwadar 36°C.
As the monsoon system progresses, residents can expect a decrease in temperature and potentially cooler conditions. The rain is likely to offer some respite from the relentless heat and provide much-needed moisture to the parched land.
