Political leaders across Pakistan have united in condemnation of the terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment, lauding the swift and courageous response of security forces that thwarted the assault.
They also prayed for the martyred soldiers and expressed solidarity with their grieving families.
President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were among the dignitaries who strongly denounced the attack, expressing solidarity with the families of the martyred soldiers and emphasizing the nation's resilience in combating terrorism.
President Zardari commended the security forces for their timely action and paid tribute to them for foiling the terrorist attack, which he stated prevented significant loss to the nation. He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to eradicating terrorist elements.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also strongly condemned the terrorist attack and paid homage to the martyred personnel of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC). He also expressed condolences to the families of the soldiers.

He underscored that their sacrifices were pivotal in the ongoing battle against terrorism, and reassured the nation of unwavering support for security forces in this critical endeavour.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi echoed similar sentiments, praising the bravery of the security personnel who thwarted the terrorists' plans. He said the brave men of the country had sacrificed their lives and thwarted the terrorists' plans.
Naqvi insisted that the enemy was plotting to create instability in Pakistan, and emphasized the importance of national unity in overcoming terrorism. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Privatisation and Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also condemned the attack.
