Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has disclosed that the comedy blockbuster "Garam Masala" from 2005 was the most difficult movie of his career.
In an interview, Akshay revealed that working on this movie was a difficult task. Director Priyadarshan's long takes were mentioned by Akshay as the main obstacle, according to Indian media.
“I was often out of breath during the shoots; it felt like performing in a theatre production,” he admitted. The actor faced challenges in portraying three different roles with different facial expressions.
This was made more difficult by the director's method of filming many character scenes in one take. According to Akshay, some takes lasted up to ten minutes, requiring more energy than dancing or action scenes.
"Garam Masala," which debuted in 2005, centers on Akshay's character "Mac," who manage relationships with multiple women concurrently before being caught by his friend "Sam" (John Abraham). Paresh Rawal, Rimi Sen, Neha Dhupia, and Rajpal Yadav are the movie's cast members.
Akshay Kumar tested positive for COVID-19 and is presently under confinement in his home. He's following his doctor's instructions to make a quick recovery.
Hit movies in a variety of genres, including romantic dramas like Namastey London, action flicks like Airlift, and comedy like the Housefull series, contributed to Kumar's ongoing success. For his services to Indian cinema, he has received multiple honours, including the Padma Shri, the country's fourth-highest civilian award.
Despite being in his 50s, Kumar is still one of Bollywood's finest actors, consistently hitting box office targets with his distinct mix of comedy, drama, and action. With his dedication to physical fitness, self-discipline, and readiness to take on difficult parts, Akshay Kumar has solidified his status as one of the greatest performers of his generation.
