PTI activist Sanam Javed has been re-arrested from outside the Gujranwala Central Jail, as soon as she was released on the orders of the Lahore High Court.
Sanam Javed was arrested by Islamabad police and an FIA team, who obtained her custody and left for the capital.
A short while ago, the Special Anti-Terrorism Court in Gujranwala had issued an order for the release of PTI activist Sanam Javed in connection with the May 9 violence case. The order was issued by Judge Naeem Saleem following directives from the Lahore High Court.

Sanam Javed, who was arrested for her alleged involvement in the May 9 case, was expected to be released shortly. The Lahore High Court had ordered her discharge from the case three days ago, leading to the anti-terrorism court's current decision.
Authorities sent the release order to the Central Jail in Gujranwala, where Sanam Javed was held. Heavy police presence has been deployed outside the Central Jail, and Sialkot Road has been closed for traffic to maintain order during the release process.
Three days ago, the Lahore High Court acquitted Sanam Javed in a case related to the events of May 9. The hearing was conducted by a two-member bench, headed by Justice Asjad Javed Gharal, who exonerated Javed from the charges filed in Gujranwala.
Sanam Javed was initially arrested in Lahore and faced multiple cases in various cities related to the May 9, 2023 riots. Although several courts granted her bail, she was repeatedly detained upon her release from jail or court.
