Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed confidence in his team's ability to perform well and mentioned that defender Antonio Rudiger's discomfort from the midweek game against Las Palmas was not a significant concern.
He also expressed hope for the return of David Alaba for their Champions League match against Napoli.
Ancelotti confirmed that winger Vinicius Junior, who recently returned from injury as a substitute, would start in their upcoming match against Montilivi.
He praised Girona's Brazilian player, Savinho, for his strong performances this season but expressed confidence in Real Madrid's resources, experience, and quality to handle any opponent.
Barcelona bribery controversy
A Spanish judge on Thursday brought charges of bribery against Barcelona and several of their former directors in connection with alleged payments to Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, a former Spanish refereeing vice president.
Negreira is accused of receiving more than seven million euros ($7.5 million) from Barcelona between 2001 and 2018, purportedly for services related to refereeing reports for the club.
As part of the investigation into these payments, Spanish police conducted a raid on the country's football refereeing headquarters, located on the outskirts of Madrid.
Barcelona's coach Xavi responded to the developments stated that during his playing days at the club, he had never perceived any preferential treatment from referees. He added that he had full faith in the ongoing judicial process and hoped that justice would ultimately prevail.
Real Madrid, currently in second place in the league, is set to face surprise league leaders Girona on Saturday.
