PMLN senior leader and PM’s advisor on political affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan talking to SAMAA TV said the government would accept the majority verdict of the SC in the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) reserved seat case.
He said the government’s legal team has been reviewing the verdict and would respond accordingly. Rana Sanaullah said the legal team would decide whether a review petition would be filed or not.
Commenting on the verdict Rana Sanaullah claimed: “SIC petitions were rejected but PTI was given that relief which was neither asked in the petition nor contest during the proceeding.”
PMLN-N-led unity movement did not have a two-thirds majority as parties formed the governments with a simple majority, he said.
Rana Sanaullah said PTI should contest Elections tribunals and the government would implement the decisions.
