Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram hoped on Thursday that India will visit Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, slated to happen next year in February.
According to details, Akram who is widely deemed as the "Sultan of Swing" said: "The entire Pakistan is waiting to welcome India in Pakistan. Hopefully, India will visit Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy."
"The facilities here in Pakistan for the Champions Trophy are good and the stadiums are being revamped. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi ad started the process of developing the stadiums for the megaevent."
"I feel that this will be the massive tournament and turn out to be quite vital for Pakistan for the betterment of the country," Akram added.
Akram said: "I am having that belief that all the teams will visit Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy."
He stressed the need for detaching the politics and cricket from each other.
"I would like to say to all the teams, fans and media that come and see that the facilities here are so good," Akram maintained.
