Pakistan cricket fans are in for a treat as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has included a much-anticipated match against arch-rivals India in the draft schedule for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
The marquee clash is slated for March 1st at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The Pakistan Cricket Board submitted a draft schedule to the ICC, which places New Zealand and Bangladesh alongside Pakistan and India in Group A. Group B will feature Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan.
According to the Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI), all participating countries have pledged their support for the Champions Trophy. The BCCI will finalise its decision after consulting with the Indian government.
The proposed dates for the tournament are from February 19 to March 9, with March 10 reserved as a backup day for the final. The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of international cricket, with top teams vying for the prestigious title.
