In a positive development for the country’s economy, Mari Petroleum has announced the successful testing of a new gas well in Sindh.
This discovery comes from the Ghazij Formation, where the company drilled a well to a depth of 1006 meters.
According to a letter sent by Mari Petroleum to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the well, drilled in Sindh's Ghazij Formation, reached a depth of 1006 meters. Initial tests revealed promising results, with the well producing an estimated 5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
Mari Petroleum assured that the production process will commence soon, following the completion of all regulatory requirements. This discovery is anticipated to provide a substantial boost to the country's energy sector and contribute positively to economic growth.
