The process of rehabilitation of the injured camel from Sanghar to an Animal Shelter in Karachi was underway and preparations for an iron support structure to help the camel stand on three legs are in the final stages.
Robotic prosthesis maker Bionics and the Department of Livestock designed the steel support system for the injured camel whose legs were allegedly chopped off by a local wadera in Shangar.
A Robotics company named Bionics said that for the next two months, the camel named ‘Camie’ will able to walk with the help of a supporting frame.
After the camel has healed, other steps will be taken to bring it back to recovery.
Artificial limbs made of fiber, steel, and aircraft aluminum will be implanted in September, management of robotics company Bionics
After implanting the artificial limbs, the iron frame will be separated from the calf, management of robotics company Bionics said.
