All-Parties Hurriyat Conference demonstration was conducted in Muzaffarabad on the International Day of Victims of Violence, to express solidarity with Kashmiris in Indian prisons in Occupied Kashmir.
All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Raja Khadim Hussain, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Zahid Safi, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Zahid Ashraf, Mushtaqul Islam, Chaudhry Shaheen, Ejaz Rahmani and other leaders led the rally.
The rally's participants condemned the worsening situation in Occupied Kashmir, the misery of Kashmiri captives, and Indian war crimes.
The demonstration participants carried placards and banners depicting the liberation of prisoners in Occupied Kashmir, as well as their images.
The participants of the rally chanted slogans like "Release Kashmiri prisoners", "Kashmir that has been red with blood, Kashmir is ours", " occupied Indian forces must leave Kashmir", and "We want freedom".
Kashmiri leaders under the leadership of Ghulam Muhammad Safi also presented a resolution against Indian war crimes to the United Nations observers.
Ghulam Mohammad Safi said in his speech that our struggle will continue until the end of the Indian military occupation and the right to self-determination. Kashmiri leadership is being subjected to the worst revenge to suppress.
He said that in the struggle for national independence, India tried unsuccessfully to break the morale of the Kashmiri people by hanging Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru in prisons.
On this occasion, the Speaker of the legislative assembly of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Latif said that international human rights organizations should play a role in the release of Kashmiri prisoners, long-term peace cannot be established in South Asia until a solution to the Kashmir issue.
Addressing the rally, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Dr Muhammad Mushtaq said that the funerals of Syed Ali Geelani Shaheed, Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sahrai Shaheed, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Hakeem Naveed Anjum were taken to Indian jails.
The Muslim Conference's head, Raja Saqib Majeed, stated that the Delhi government killed the leaders of Kashmiri freedom fighters Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq Shaheed, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Shaheed, and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Shaheed for demanding freedom.
Dr. Sajjad Latif Khan, Director of the Kashmir Liberation Cell, stated that the Kashmiri people have the inherent right to self-determination. The United Nations should keep its promises.
According to Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, the Modi government must release Kashmiri leaders including Musrat Alam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Yasin Malik, Asia Andrabi, Dr Abdul Hameed Fayaz, Dr. Muhammad Qasim Fakto, Nahida Nasreen, Naeem Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Sufi Fahmida, Saifullah Peer, Zafar Akbar Butt, Muhammad Yusuf Falahi, Ameer Hamza, Hayat Dar, Umar Adil Dar, and other leaders.
Mushtaq Ahmad Butt said in his address that the Indian government is constantly ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and is undermining peace. Zahid Ashraf said that the Indian government has subjected the Kashmiri people to mass murder by declaring it a crime to demand freedom and rights. The rally participants marched from Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk to Ghari Pin Chowk.
