Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a high-level meeting to review the security measures taken to protect foreigners in Pakistan, with a special focus on Chinese citizens.
The meeting also assessed the overall security situation in the country.
During the session, detailed briefings were provided by the relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Interior, on the current security protocols and strategies in place. Minister Naqvi underscored the importance of the strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the security plan.
"Regular monitoring of the formulated security plan at every level is crucial," Naqvi stated. He stressed that the relevant institutions must maintain close contact to counter the nefarious intentions of anti-national elements.
"There is no room for any kind of negligence on the security plan," he added, highlighting the critical nature of these measures.

The meeting concluded with directives for continuous vigilance and proactive measures to ensure the safety of all foreign nationals residing in Pakistan.
In an important development on Friday, Pakistan and China reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership, with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) set to enter its next phase.
Liu Jianchao, the minister of International Affairs of the Communist Party of China, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and reiterated China’s support for Pakistan's economic development.
The visiting dignitary also commended Pakistan's efforts in maintaining regional peace and stability, acknowledging the support of the Pakistan Armed Forces in providing security to Chinese nationals and projects in Pakistan.
