In a significant development, the Anti-Corruption Director General in Punjab called on the Chief Secretary of Punjab to discuss the nomination of two senior bureaucrats in connection with the appointment of ex-PA secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti case.
During the meeting, the Director General of Anti-Corruption shed light on the role of the two officers, Masood Mukhtar and Asif Tufail, emphasising that they had dutifully complied with the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister in the preparation of the appointment summary.
It is worth noting that the Anti-Corruption Department had nominated the aforementioned senior bureaucrats as part of its ongoing investigation into the Muhammad Khan Bhatti appointment case.
This case has garnered significant attention due to allegations of irregularities and improprieties in the selection process for the crucial position of Secretary of the Punjab Assembly.
