The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) sent written requests for the benefit of urban Sindh in the upcoming budget to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
In the federal budget, MQM has asked for 38 billion rupees to be allocated to the development of Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, and Nawabshah.
The demands were made to the Prime Minister, who was informed that MQM is not a part of the provincial administration and that the federation belongs to us. MQM further demands the release of development funds for their MNAs.
MQM also asked to provide full funds for the K4 project and complete it under the supervision of SIFC.
In addition, MQM has insisted that the Greater Karachi Sewerage Project be finished in the same year.
MQM stated that the federal budget should include funding for the Karachi Circular Railway, the Green Line, and the Blue Line.
Financial support has also been demanded for the completion of the Bin Qasim Textile City project, which includes the freight route connecting Karachi Port and Papri.
