Renowned national wrestler and Rustom-e-Pakistan titleholder Inam Butt has made a bold claim that he can get national cricketer Azam Khan in prime physical condition within just three months.
Speaking to a private television channel, Butt outlined a rigorous training regimen designed to significantly reduce Khan’s weight while maintaining his strength and enhancing his cricketing performance.
Inam Butt proposed that Azam Khan should undergo intensive training at the historic Gujranwala Akhara, where he would be subjected to 5 to 6 hours of daily physical conditioning alongside professional wrestlers.
According to Butt, this regime, complemented by a carefully controlled diet, could help Khan shed 30 to 35 kilograms.
“Azam will need to train diligently for three months,” Butt asserted. “With the right combination of exercise and diet, we can make a substantial difference in his fitness levels, without compromising his strength.”
Azam Khan, currently part of Pakistan’s national cricket team, has faced mounting criticism over his performance, which many attribute to his excessive weight. His struggles were particularly evident during the first match of the T20 World Cup, where he was dismissed for a paltry score against the USA team.
Butt is confident that the proposed training would not only improve Khan's fitness but also enhance his cricketing abilities. “After three months of rigorous training, Azam will be in the best shape of his life and ready to excel on the cricket field,” he added.
