In an important move aimed at providing relief to the public, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Finance Ministry to reduce the prices of petroleum products.
Under the Prime Minister's directive, the price of petrol will be reduced by Rs 15.40 per liter, while the price of diesel will see a decrease of Rs 7.90 per liter.
The final notification of the new prices of petroleum products will be issued by the Ministry of Finance. New prices of petroleum products will be effective for next fortnight from June 1.
This decision comes as part of the government's efforts to alleviate the financial burden on the people and ensure economic stability in the country.
