Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor, a couple admired for their enduring and loving relationship, have decided to part ways after five years of dating.
Multiple sources confirmed the news to Pinkvilla, stating that the couple chose to end their courtship respectfully after their relationship was heading nowhere.
A source close to the couple shared that Malaika and Arjun had a very special bond, and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have decided not to publicly bash each other and dissect their relationship.
The source further elaborated that the couple, had a fruitful relationship that has unfortunately reached a dead end. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other, it added.
Over the years, the source continued, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite their decision to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time.
Arjun and Malaika's relationship rumours began in 2018 when they made an appearance at a fashion show event. They confirmed their relationship on social media on Malaika’s 45th birthday. Since then, they have been seen spending time with each other and each other’s families and discussing their future together, including when Arjun Kapoor talked about their relationship during an appearance on 'Koffee with Karan'.
On the work front, Arjun is all set to play the antagonist in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again' and will also appear in the comic caper 'No Entry 2' alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, which would be directed by Anees Bazmee.
Meanwhile, Malaika is determined to manage her endorsements and reality show commitments.
