Pakistan's wheelchair cricket team has clinched its second consecutive championship title. The triumphant players, who won the Asian Championship, were specially invited to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to celebrate their remarkable achievement.
During the meeting, Naqvi congratulated the team and praised their outstanding performance. He expressed his admiration for their dedication and resilience, which has brought glory to Pakistan on the international stage. To honour their victory and support their future endeavours, including logistical support in the Pakistan Champions League, Chairman Naqvi presented the team with a cheque for Rs1.5 million.
Naqvi also offered words of encouragement and expressed his best wishes for the team's continued success. He reaffirmed the PCB’s commitment to supporting the wheelchair cricket team, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities needed to excel in future tournaments.
“We are incredibly proud of our wheelchair cricket team’s achievements. Their hard work and determination are truly inspiring,” said Naqvi. “The PCB will continue to support them, and I am confident that they will keep making Pakistan proud by winning more championships.”
A delegation comprising Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput, team captain Muhammad Zeeshan, Imran Arain, Syed Arsalan Ahmed, Moazzam Nawaz and Muhammad Fayaz met with the PCB chairman.
