This Christmas, the box office is gearing up for an epic showdown as two highly-anticipated films, Prabhas's "Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki," are set to clash in cinemas.
The competition is set to heat up on December 22, 2023, when both films are scheduled for release.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the clash, stating, "Yes. It’s true… SRK vs. Prabhas, Dunki Vs. Salaar this Christmas… The exhibitors have received a mail stating that #Salaar will arrive THIS CHRISTMAS [on 22 Dec 2023]… An official announcement by the producers, #HombaleFilms, will be made on Friday [29 Sept 2023].”

Originally slated for a September 28 release, "Salaar" was postponed, and the new Christmas release date has been confirmed.
While the exact reason for the delay is yet to be officially disclosed, reports suggest that the intricate VFX work played a role in the decision.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, and Taapsee Pannu join forces for "Dunki." Vicky Kaushal and Dharmendra are also reported to have significant roles in the film.
Shah Rukh Khan, known for his witty remarks, commented on the release schedule, "God has been extremely nice to us... On Krishnaji's birthday, Janmashtami, we released the movie "Jawan." Now New Year and Christmas are around the corner, we will release Dunki... I'm working harder than I worked in the last 29 years. I will keep working hard because now I'm the happiest when people get happy after watching the film."
As the holiday season approaches, moviegoers can look forward to this exciting clash between two of the biggest stars in the Indian film industry.
