On Wednesday, the intermediate exams in Sindh were rescheduled for June 1, as the board officials said it would not be possible to conduct the examinations from May 28.
The decision came after the intermediate board sought permission to delay exams by four days, citing the unfeasibility of conducting exams from May 28. The minister concerned gave the required go-ahead.
The board met with the minister of education boards seeking approval for the postponement, highlighting the logistical constraints faced by 21 examination centres shared by both matriculation and intermediate exams. These centres, essentially higher secondary schools, were designated as centres for the intermediate exams scheduled for May 22.
