Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qasim Gillani and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) candidate Taimur Altaf Malik lock horns against each other in the NA-148 Multan by-election.
According to details, the polling process started at 8:00 a.m. 444,231 voters were registered in NA-148. Out of which, 233,664 were men and 210,607 were women.
Meanwhile, 275 polling stations were established in the constituency. Out of 131, 131 were combined, while 72 were dedicated to men and women each.
3,800 police officials were deployed for security in Multan. The CCTV cameras and walk-through gates were also installed.
Moreover, eight candidates are contesting the by-election from the constituency.
69 of the polling stations were declared "sensitive.".
