Brazil has been announced as the host of the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup, marking a first for a South American nation.
The decision was made at the FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, where Brazil's bid received an overwhelming 119 votes, surpassing the joint bid of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, which garnered 78 votes.
