Despite initially ignoring the verbal abuse hurled at him, Shaheen Shah Afridi decided to take action against the unruly behavior. He promptly alerted the security personnel present at the venue after the situation failed to de-escalate.

In the match, Pakistan exhibited their dominance, securing a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over the hosts, thereby leveling the series 1-1. Shaheen Shah Afridi's on-field performance also garnered attention as he reached a significant milestone, claiming his 300th international wicket by dismissing Irish captain Paul Stirling.
