The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in the case of interference in public affairs outside Zaman Park.
The Public Prosecutor opposed the prayer of PTI counsel who asked for bail on the ground that his client Imran Khan was in jail and previously regularly appeared before the court in the Zaman Park case.
The case was registered at the Race Course Police Station for obstructing the execution of the PTI founder's warrant arrest.
LHC Justice Amjad Rafiq heard the interim bail of the PTI founder and during the hearing, the lawyer of the PTI founder, Barrister Salman Safdar, said that the PTI founder had been regularly appearing in the court before his arrest, but as he was sentenced and was in jail.
The lawyer took the stand that the court should grant bail in the case of interference in the government.
The public prosecutor opposed the application, however, the court granted bail for a sum of five lakhs.
