SHO Derakhshan and eyewitness accounts that the maid, identified as, had been in the employment of the bungalow's owners for a period of 10 months.
The owners, Shiraz and his family, were out of house for a meal, only to return to a haunting scene – Maria's body dangling from a ceiling fan.
Initial reports from the scene indicated apparent marks on Maria's neck, prompting law enforcement to deem the circumstances surrounding her death as suspicious.
The owners insist that Maria took her own life, citing the alleged suicide as the cause, authorities remain cautious, highlighting the need for a thorough post-mortem examination to ascertain the true cause of death.
Derakhshan SHO told media persons that Police was awaiting the results of the post-mortem investigation before drawing any conclusions.
"It is too early to definitively determine whether the incident is a case of murder or suicide," he asserted, urging patience as investigators diligently work to uncover the facts.
