The moon of the month of Zilqad 1445 AH was not sighted in Pakistan so the month of Shawwal will end on Thursday May 9, while Friday, May 10 will be 1st of Zilqad across the country.
This announcement was made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the official moon sighting body in Pakistan.
Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad presided over the meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The announcement was made after reports from various parts of the country indicated that the moon was not sighted.
