On the one-year anniversary of the devastating tragedy that claimed the lives of several soldiers, families gathered to reflect on the loss and honor the memory of their fallen heroes.
In a solemn ceremony commemorating the May 9 incident, Lieutenant Colonel Kashif Ali Shaheed's brother expressed profound sorrow and pride. "My brother sacrificed his life for this nation," he stated, emphasizing the significance of his brother's selfless service.
Amidst the grief, there was also outrage over the destruction of memorials dedicated to the martyrs. The mother of Lieutenant Shaheer Shaheed condemned the act, calling it a dark chapter in history that must not be forgotten. She urged the government to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice.

Echoing her sentiments, the brother of Sepoy Wazir Ali Shaheed highlighted the importance of honoring the sacrifices of those who defend the country.
