Defence Minister Khawaja Asif assailed on Saturday the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over forming a three-member committee to hold negotiations with the establishment.
Speaking to media in Sialkot, Asif recalled the events that transpired on May 9. "The military installations were attacked under the slogan of real freedom," he said.
"The PTI founder had also used foul language against Maulana Fazlur Rehman in the past," said Asif.
"The red line had been crossed on May 9. The military installations were harmed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa," Asif maintained.
"The PTI leadership was involved in the attack," said Asif.
He said: “Even on matters like Abhinandan, the PTI founder was not ready to hold talks with us.”
