Zack Nelson, the guy from the famous YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, has done it again! He decided to test the new iPhone 15 Pro Max to see just how tough it is.
This phone is Apple's biggest and most expensive one, and people were eager to know if it could handle some rough treatment.
First, Zack checked out the phone's fancy materials like the brushed titanium and etched glass on the back.
He thought they were pretty cool. Then, he took a sharp tool and started scratching the screen, which is made with something called Ceramic Shield. To our relief, the screen held up pretty well.
Next, he used a box cutter to scrape at the selfie camera. Ouch, that made us cringe a bit.
But luckily, the camera was protected by the Ceramic Shield, so it didn't get damaged.
Now, here's where it gets interesting. Zack ran that box cutter down the side of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it scratched off some blue coating, showing the titanium frame underneath. That was a bit of a bummer, but it wasn't a big deal.
But then, Zack did something that really surprised us. He used his fingers to try and bend the phone, like a stress test.
And guess what? The back glass cracked pretty easily! We didn't see that one coming, and even Zack admitted he was stunned.
He's tested lots of phones over the years, and iPhones usually don't break like that.
Zack wondered if it had something to do with the titanium frame, which is super strong but less flexible than aluminum.
To test his theory, he did the same bend test on the smaller iPhone 15 Pro, and it held up just fine.
And if all that wasn't enough, Zack decided to really put the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the test.
He used a blowtorch on it! Yup, you read that right. It was another moment to wince and wonder what would happen next.
So, there you have it. The iPhone 15 Pro Max held up to some things really well, like scratches and flames.
But when it came to bending, it had a surprising weakness. Who would have thought?
In the world of phones, even the toughest ones can have their limits. And that's the scoop on the iPhone 15 Pro Max's durability test!
