Local body elections in England and Wales will be held today, and mayors of major cities, including London, will also be elected.
According to British media reports, Sadiq Khan of Pakistani origin will once again enter the field in the mayoral elections in London, while he will compete with Susan Hall.
Sadiq Khan will be the Labor Party candidate for a third term, while Susan Hall will be the Conservative Party candidate.
A total of 13 candidates are competing in the London Mayoral election and Indian-origin candidate Tarun Glotti is also participating, but the real contest is expected between Sadiq Khan and Susan Hall.
Polling for the elections will continue from 7am to 10pm.
This time, the London mayor elections are being held using the first-past-the-post method, which allows voters to select just one candidate and awards the victory to the one who receives the most votes.
