It was during this time that Mansoor Rana, who associated with ZTBL, noticed Babar's talent and offered him an opportunity to come to National Cricket Academy.
Babar was at the National Cricket Academy for trial when Mohammad Asif arrived.
The trial had not yet started, and Babar was wearing his pads, greeted Asif.
Mohammad Asif was in a cheerful mood and asked, "Oye Chhotu, Kidhar?" [Hey young man, how are you here?] Then Babar said, "Asif Bhai, I am here for a trial for the bank team."
At that moment, Mohammad Asif went to the management and harshly said, "What are you doing with him? He hit me 11 fours." He further advised them, "Write down his name and get him in the [bank's] team. He will prove to be an asset for you."
This prophecy proved true as Babar Azam's journey continued to flourish.
Babar Azam's first salary
The Instagram post also disclosed that Babar Azam's first salary as a cricketer was Rs16,800.
In the end Azam Siddique said,” Dear Mr. Mohammad Asif, every individual is responsible for their actions, and the time for such matters will never come. However, if it does, rest assured that Babar Azam will always uphold respect, and your presence on the field will be honoured. Your timely support has been instrumental in our achievements."
He asked the public not make unwanted comments regarding Mohammad Asif in reference to Babar.
