The controversy began when Canada-based singer Shubh posted a controversial map of India on social media.
In response, his Indian tour was cancelled, and he faced widespread criticism. Prominent figures, including cricketer Virat Kohli, unfollowed him on Instagram.

Notably, rapper AP Dhillon defended Shubh, suggesting it was a "political agenda."
Additionally, the official page of the late Sidhu Moose Wala expressed support for Shubhneet Singh.

Kangana Ranaut, in her tweet, advised the Sikh community to disassociate themselves from Khalistanis and encouraged more Sikhs to support Akhand Bharat.
She reflected on her own experience of facing protests and boycotts in Punjab due to her stance against Khalistani terrorists.
She expressed concern that Khalistani “terrorism” could tarnish the reputation of the Sikh community and urged Sikhs not to be influenced by such elements.
The actress emphasized the need for the Sikh community to avoid getting "excited or instigated by Khalistani terrorists" and concluded her message with "Jai Hind" (Long Live India).
