Four civilians including Coast Guard Major Saad and a security guard were killed during robbery resistance in Karachi taking the tally to 60 people gunned down over robbery resistance-related incidents since the start of 2024.
The accused escaped from the site area after looting Rs10.30 million making the event one of the biggest robbery incidents in the SITE area. Two employees of the poultry farm named Sher Alam and Zakir were killed as both were going to deposit an amount of hefty amount from the office to the bank.
The accused fled after looting the money.
SSP Kemari Faizan Ali said a security guard near Gharibabad underpass was shot and killed by the dacoits.
The security guard tried to catch the fleeing accused when Karachi Police and Rangers increased the snap-checking when the accused left the motorcycle and entered a nearby street.
On March 31, Major Saad of the Coast Guard, who was injured in the robbery resistance in the area of Sher Shah, also died during the treatment.
Separately, in the Farid Colony of Orangi Town, three suspects entered the house and killed a person named Jamrali Shah.
The people near Karimi Chowrangi, Sarjani town, arrested the bandit and referred it to the police after the violence.
