Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has formally parted ways with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) forever as Abbasi approached the Election Commission of Pakistan ECP) for the registration of his new political party.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi himself reached the ECP headquarters in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and submitted the information to the ECP for the registration of his party.
Abbasi said that he has provided the required documents to the election regulator for registration.
According to the Election Act 2017, political parties are being registered. The upcoming elections will be fought vigorously under the new political party. The former prime minister on the PMLN ticket said that the name of the political party has not been finalized yet.

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday hoped that the new political party would emerge soon.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Abbasi said; "The country needs new leadership. The country where the government cannot take decisions cannot run." The responsibility lies with the government to bring back its laws. Both the president and prime minister had faced the detention of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)."
"No officer is ready to work due to the fear of the NAB," he added. "It is up to the president and the premier to free the country from the NAB," Abbasi said.
