Liverpool has secured victories in four of their five Premier League matches and commenced their Europa League campaign with a 3-1 win over LASK on Thursday.
Notably, this marks the fourth occasion in six matches where Liverpool has rebounded from early setbacks.
Despite their initial challenges, Liverpool's robust second-half performances have led to triumphs over Bournemouth, Newcastle, Wolves, and LASK. Klopp expresses his satisfaction with Liverpool's newfound resilience after a disappointing previous campaign. Still, he is cautious about employing the "mentality monsters" label that was synonymous with his Champions League and Premier League-winning squads from 2019 and 2020.
Klopp told reporters on Friday, "I understand why you are asking me this. It was not long ago that I was being asked about us being 1-0 down, 1-0 down, 1-0 down. I understand that this may come up again some time, but this feels completely different."
Liverpool is set to host West Ham in their upcoming fixture, aiming to maintain pressure on league leader Manchester City. Simultaneously, Klopp is orchestrating a title challenge while integrating an entirely new midfield.
Departures such as Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the offseason have been replaced by Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Klopp emphasised, "We have changed a few things and turned games around. Staying in a game is a duty, and we have done that so far, which is why we have turned situations around. Mentality? That is something we will create. What we have now is a mood. This is a spirit we have created because the boys really like playing with each other."
He further noted the competitive atmosphere within the dressing room and the enthusiasm displayed by the players who came on as substitutes, describing it as a sign of growth. However, Klopp remains cautious about predicting the future, stating, "Something is growing, but I have no clue how it will go."
