Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Abbas said on Sunday that he misses Test cricket a lot.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Abbas said: "When I see my status, I express my gratitude to the Higher Power. I have a second best average in Test cricket. Whereas, in domestic cricket, I am having the number one average."
He underlined the importance of red-ball cricket, saying, "We got less opportunity to play the Test cricket as compared to other nations."
"The players' performances have also been undermined if we play Test cricket after an eight-month hiatus," he added.
Abbas urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to provide Pakistan with more matches in the Test format.
"Even the performance in the white-ball format also gets even better, while playing in the Test cricket," he added.
