The United States has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting Pakistan in tackling its energy crisis, with the spokesperson of the US State Department highlighting energy cooperation as a top priority.
Matthew Miller, representing the US State Department, emphasized the significant contribution of the US in generating an additional 4,000 megawatts of clean energy in Pakistan.
These projects, he noted, have substantially bolstered the country’s electricity capacity, ensuring millions of Pakistanis now have access to electricity in their homes.
Moreover, the US State Department spokesperson underscored the collaborative efforts between the US and Pakistan in advancing the Green Program, aimed at addressing environmental challenges, particularly water management.
The two countries are also collaborating on initiatives promoting climate-friendly agriculture and sustainable energy practices, further strengthening their partnership in combating climate change and fostering sustainable development.
