The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday granted party ticket to former MNA Ali Pervaiz Malik to contest a by-election from NA-119.
According to details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had issued the party ticket to Malik.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emerged victorious from NA-119 in the recently held general elections.
It was in 2018 that Malik was elected MNA from the same constituency.
– Atta Tarar assails PTI –
Few days back, Information Minister leader Atta Tarar assailed the PTI over the events that transpired on May 9.
Expressing his thoughts, Tarar said: “The PTI leaders and extremists had themselves posted the videos on social media. You [PTI] cannot change reality by changing the statements every now and then.”
“Everything was recorded on the camera that happened on May 9. It is an old habit of May 9 rioters to continue speaking lies,” Tarar said.
He said: “A group that has been involved in attacks on the state cannot be considered a political party.”
