Four terrorists were killed, as security forces carried out an operation in Dera Ismail Khan on the reported presence of terrorists on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched the operation based on intelligence reports of the presence of terrorists in the area. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, four terrorists, including Mustafa, Qismatullah, and Islamuddin, were killed.
The security forces seized a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives from the killed terrorists.
The military’s media wing claimed that the terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and killing of innocent civilians, underscoring the importance of the security forces' proactive approach in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.
Local residents appreciated the swift and effective action taken by the security forces against the terrorists.
ISPR said efforts were underway to locate any remaining terrorists in the area for which an operation had been launched.
