In Harbanspora, the FIA Task Force has taken decisive action, sealing a factory responsible for manufacturing substandard and unregistered herbal medicines. Led by Chief Javed Sultan and Assistant Director Nair Tirmizi, the task force, including Drug Inspector Kamal Sikander, Inspector Shahzeb, Mudassar Noor, and Akram Sindhu, raided the facility.
The owner, Muhammad Ain Siddiqui, who identifies himself as a pharmacist, was apprehended during the operation. Investigations revealed alarming practices within the factory, including the production of herbal medicines in a highly substandard manner and the manufacturing of unregistered syrups under various names.
Furthermore, it was discovered that the factory's quality control unit machinery was defective, and raw materials were improperly stored on the premises. The prepared syrups were found to be filled in unclean drums and bottles, raising serious health concerns.
