A certain political party leaves no stone unturned to achieve its nefarious political goals. Social media accounts associated with the party are busy spreading negative, anti-institutional propaganda.
In line with these objectives, the certain party has released the story of the kidnapping and torture on Anwar Maqsood through social media accounts to aggravate the atmosphere of anarchy in the country.
Adil Raja, a traitor, made false and fabricated allegations of Anwar Maqsood's kidnapping and torture while defaming the country's institutions.
Now, renowned scriptwriter Anwar Maqsood has denied the rumours going around on social media concerning his alleged kidnapping and torture.
The 84-year-old writer thanked his supporters and well-wishers for their concern in a newly released video message, adding that the rumours of his kidnapping were completely untrue.
In a video statement, he said: “In the past few days, certain news has been circulating that made my life a living hell. I have admirers all over the world. I received calls from every city, every country asking how I am. I’m perfectly fine. Whatever you’re hearing has not happened, nor will it happen."
He further said that as a 84-year-old, he wouldn't survive even a slap. "How could I be subjected to a heavy beating? It didn’t happen. I am fine,” he declared, adding: “I’ve been writing, speaking for you all for 66 years. I love our soldiers who are at the borders, sacrificing their lives for us. I’m not being coerced to say this. I’m saying this from my heart.”
Drawing attention to the abundance of fake social media profiles using his identity and images, Anwar Maqsood stated: “This is the phone I have. It doesn’t even have a camera. How will I tweet? There are 42 accounts with my picture, which are fake. I’ve told everyone. I told FIA, the police to have them shut down. They said they cannot do so”.
Concluding, he said now the public should be aware of how far a particular political party could go to achieve its political goals.
