Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah was talking to the media outside the Sindh Assembly after casting votes for the Senate elections on six seats said that PPP rejected the appointment of Indus River System Authority (IRSA), a federal entirety, chairman.
Murad Ali Shah said that the problem has been made for small provinces and PPP has not been in favour of giving Irsa control to the federal government.
He said it is hoped that the new finance minister will play an important role to get the country out of its problems.
“PTI founder Shahbaz Sharif will not tolerate injustice in Sindh. We will return the appointment notification of Irsa Chairman,” Sindh CM said.
“The law and order situation in Sindh is worse than last six months. The situation worsened during the caretaker government,” Sindh CM said.
“If we find anything wrong then we will protest. There will be full protest if anyone tries to harm the people of Sindh,” Shah said. He said that PPP priority is to establish peace.
“I am looking into the matter of Karachi Interboard Chairman. There is no minister yet, you alone are looking after this department. This problem will be solved soon,” he told media persons.
Process of appointment of Irsa’s new chairman stopped
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif initially appointed the retired officer of grade 22, Zafar Mehmood, as the chairman of Irsa but now has withdrawn the summary orders.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had expressed reservations about the appointment of Chairman Irsa.
