The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has finalized the allocation of portfolios to ministers and advisors, a significant step in the province's governance structure.
Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has been appointed as the Information Advisor, according to an official announcement from the provincial government in Peshawar.
Among the key appointments, Arshad Ayub will oversee the Municipalities Department, while Shakeel takes charge of the Department of Communication and Works. Fazl Hakeem assumes the role of Minister of Climate Change, Forests, and Wildlife, and Aqibullah heads the Irrigation Department. Adnan Qadri has been appointed to lead the Department of Hajj, Awqaf, and Religious Affairs.
Other notable appointments include Meena Khan Afridi for Higher Education, Ali Shah for the Health Department, and Muhammad Sajjad for Agriculture. Nazir Ahmed Abbasi will oversee Revenue, Pakhtun Yar will focus on Public Health, and Aftab Alam will handle Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Human Rights. Khaleeq-ur-Rehman has been assigned to Excise and Taxation, while Faisal Tarkai will lead Elementary Education and Zahir Shah will take charge of the Food Department.
In addition to ministers, several advisors and special assistants have been appointed to various portfolios. Syed Fakhr Khan will serve as Advisor on Sports and Youth Affairs, Mashaal Azam as Advisor on Women Empowerment, Zakat, and Social Welfare, and Zahid Chanzeb as Advisor on Tourism and Culture.
Khalid Latif has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science and Technology, Abdul Karim Khan on Industry, Commerce, and Technical Education, and Liaquat Ali Khan on Population Welfare. Amjad Ali and Muzamil Aslam will serve as Special Assistants to the Chief Minister for Housing and Finance Advisor respectively, contributing to the province's development and welfare agenda.
